Hard Times Ahead?

I’m trying to decide if I’m at the beginning of a great or a crap week. For those of you that don’t know I turn 21 next weekend and the lead up to such a momentous occasion looks like it will be less than joyous. To start off I have to complete what very well may be the most pointless and boring essay of all time. 2000 words on Working In a Group. I find myself typing away with little motivation and little care.

Work for university overall is beginning to pile up so it looks like I’m going to have a few late nights this week typing up potential rubbish.

Another slight niggle in my head is the current crap crop of players at Killie, where the ability to win seems to have gone with the departure of Steven Naismith last summer. Lying 11th in the league with little motivation and fans calling for major changes it’s not a happy time to be a Rugby Park regular. I can’t really say I’ve been a regular this season as I work Saturday’s but the desperation to see the team play that I usually have has been wiped away and replaced with continual doubt. Games on Saturdays used to be looked forward to and now it’s got to the stage where I look at the fixture list and think - “Right, who’s gubbing us this week!?”.

Add to this the fact that I’ve tried to get to Airdrie twice to see Killie in the Scottish Cup only for it to be postponed twice and now I’m unable to get to the re-arranged game at the crazy time of 8.45 on a Monday night. I suspect they’ll gub us too!

On the other side of the fence I guess I can look forward to other things - My birthday should be great and I’m looking forward to get the chance to catch up with people I’ve missed. Also, the African Cup of Nations is on which always provides hilarity in the form of dodgy goalkeepers!

Finally a more efficient way to keep tabs on you; do you have any idea how much it costs to maintain a trained three man team, multiple phone-taps and military-grade satellite surveillance?

Roughly the same cost as a successful American Presidential Campaign!? I knew this blog would help people!

By the by, who are you supporting for the democrat nomination? I see Obama has won S.Carolina, so 2 all I think?

Obama, but I like Edwards - Shame he doesn’t stand a chance of getting the nomination but he’s probably got the best VP chance.
